This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed to know if there is a way to update a translated string in the Translation Memory so that it automatically updates across all pages where it is used.
Solution:
We informed the client that an updated string will not automatically change on other pages. To apply the changes, the client should resend the pages containing the string to translation via WPML -> Translation Management. The client can send these pages to themselves as a local translator, even if they are marked as complete, by using the pencil icon. This action will trigger the update of the string on all pages without the need to edit each page individually.

Hello!

I've got a site translated. I use automatic translation but now I'm fixing some translations manually.

I have some text strings that repeat throughout the website that I wanted to change its translation. If this string is saved into Translation Memory, is there any way to change this string directly into de translation memory to translate over the other pages?

Thanks

Hi,

I discussed this issue with our second-tier supporter. There is no way an updated string/sentence will automatically change on other pages unless you send it as a translation job again. You can do it from WPML -> Translation Management. You can send the pages with the string/sentence you change to translation, even if marked as complete (with the pencil icon). Send them to yourself as a local translator. This will trigger the change in the string/sentence. You wouldn't need to edit those pages.

Itamar.
