Within WPML I have gone to string translation -> "auto register untranslated strings" and then turned on "Untranslated strings that I encounter while logged in ". After that I have refreshed the page on the front end. In the past this used to pick up the filter checkboxe labels of a FacetWP filter. But now this is not working and these strings are not being detected.
Thank you very much for sharing the access information.
The strings you are trying to translate belong to a taxonomy named 'Academy Germany', which you can find in this URL: hidden link
In this case, the correct solution is to set this taxonomy as translatable and translate the terms. You can set the taxonomy as translatable in WPML -> Settings -> Taxonomies Translation -> Set 'Academy Germany (resource_academy_germany)' to 'Translatable'.
I tried the method you suggested and it has not translated the filter strings. If you look at a page such as the below you will see none of the 'academy germany' labels have translated. But some of the other filters have. For those ones I used string translation and didn't set those taxonomies as translatable.
I tested the taxonomy translation with 'Training Program', and after duplicating the Resource titled 'Sales Training Program' (hidden link), you can now see the string translated in the filter: hidden link
The only step missing is to translate or duplicate the Resources to the secondary languages so the filters can adjust/appear correctly in the secondary languages for the 'German Academy' taxonomy.
Hi Carlos, is there not a way to do it with the strings? It worked before so it still should now? This is the method we've done it before and as you can see some of them are translated. We've not had to translate all the resources before and ideally we don't want to.
Please share a video or a link to String Translation showing one of the strings translated that appear correctly in the filter. This will allow me to double-check the steps you already did.
Sure no problem. So if you pick any of the filters they are all currently translated this way. But using "all models" as an example from the "models" filter. I have attached screenshots. As you can see it is translated from English to the other languages using the string section of WPML. The taxonomy is not translated.
