I'm a long time user of wpml and until now, I've been using the plugin to translate manually. I'm planning to use automatic translation. I've got two questions! 🙂
1. Does it store the translation in the database as normally do manual translations?
2. Can I modify those translations?
Thank you for contacting WPML support, let me answer your questions.
1. Does it store the translation in the database as normally do manual translations?
Yes, the translation content is saved to the database on your site as you translate manually. The content is also saved to the translation memory which is in our server. Then you won't be charged for the same segments next time.
2. Can I modify those translations?
Yes, you can review the translation and open the Advanced Translation Editor to edit the translation which is made by automatic translation.
It could be another issue, and we can handle one issue per ticket only. I will split this ticket into a new one for your new question.
If you see the main issue of this ticket with automatic translation and database is resolved, please mark it as Resolved.
