Miguel

Hi!

I'm a long time user of wpml and until now, I've been using the plugin to translate manually. I'm planning to use automatic translation. I've got two questions! 🙂

1. Does it store the translation in the database as normally do manual translations?
2. Can I modify those translations?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Miguel,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, let me answer your questions.

1. Does it store the translation in the database as normally do manual translations?
Yes, the translation content is saved to the database on your site as you translate manually. The content is also saved to the translation memory which is in our server. Then you won't be charged for the same segments next time.

2. Can I modify those translations?
Yes, you can review the translation and open the Advanced Translation Editor to edit the translation which is made by automatic translation.

Refer documentation
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-wpml-keeps-track-of-your-translations/
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/#reviewing-automatic-translations

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Thank you por your answer, Long!

I have detected a high consumption of resources on the server that greatly slows down web browsing and makes the administrator unworkable.

I've never had that happen to me with WPML, could it have to do with the use of machine translation?

Thank you!
