Hi there,

I found this forum post for my issue to automatically translate tags, categories and attributes but it doesnt show the column with automatic translations like in the screenshot provided, did I not enable automatic translations in general or is this a new feature update?

https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-can-i-only-auto-translate-post-and-categories-tags/

Best regards,
Andreas

I also need to know if there is any way to automatically translate multiple products, I dont need actual translations, I just need them to be displayed when using product grids and stuff like this when I am on my second language!

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

Normally, the taxonomy (category, tag, other custom taxonomies) will be translated along with the post when translating automatically.

Regarding the second question, if you just want to display products in a second language without translating them, you can duplicate products.

Please read more in the documentation
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-post-categories-and-custom-taxonomies/
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hey Long, thank you for your reply!
Yes I was already able to duplicate all products and they copied attributes etc. with it, only issue is that when I edit the core product the translated duplicate is not getting updated.
When I manually duplicate it again it works.
Is there any way to automatically duplicate or update a product after something was changed?
For example if I update an attribute I want the changes to be applied to both versions.

Best regards,
Andreas

Hi,

I don't see that issue on my demo site. When I edit a product in the original language > Update a variation > Save changes then the duplication product is updated as well.

You can also try to replicate the issue on a clean installation of WordPress and let me know steps to replicate it. With the link below, you can log in directly to the admin area

Look forward to your reply.
