Background of the issue:
I am trying to complete the translation of a page in the Advanced Translations Editor, but the blockquote tag will not transfer to the translation. The issue can be seen at the following link: hidden link

Symptoms:
ATE doesn't let me complete the translation because the blockquote is not applied.

Questions:
Why is the blockquote tag not transferring to the translation in the Advanced Translation Editor?
How can I ensure that the blockquote is applied to the translated text?

I tried updating the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual, but there wasn't any way to get it to update. I uninstalled it to reinstall it. Instead, it's completely disappeared and I can get to download from anywhere.

This is incredibly frustrating!!!!!!

Hello,

The problem there is not with the blockquote but with the linebreak inside the blockquote segment.

Try to do this to unblock the situation:

- Remove the line break in the translation and save the segment
- See if it saves
- If t does, then try to add it again and see if it works
- It should work this time.

If it doesn't, please tell me the language pair and the URL where the problem happens.

-------------

This is an issue of the translation editor, not the plugins so you shouldn't need to delete or uninstall anything. I'm not sure what happened when you uninstalled/reinstalled the plugins so if you have another issue because of this, please explain with details what you're seeing vs what you expected to see BEFORE you went to the translation editor so I can understand better how to help there.

Hi Alejandro,

I had realized that the line break was the issue. After going back to the older ATE, the segment was finally accepted, despite the line break being there.

Now that the page is disconnected from the ATE, I edited the manual line break out of the English and the French translation.

What doesn't work in the new ATE is that it wouldn't transfer this kind of marking and it would make it impossible to save a segment, without making further edits to the English page outside of the ATE.

I'll leave it at this.

Thanks.
