This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to translate BuddyPress profile fields such as First Name, Last Name, Nickname, Social Networks, and address fields on the frontend using BuddyBoss and WPML, but they are not appearing translated.
Solution:
1. Ensure you have followed the workaround detailed in the WPML errata for BuddyPress profile fields not being translated on the frontend. You can find this information here: https://wpml.org/errata/buddypress-profile-fields-are-not-being-translated-on-the-frontend/.
2. On the Profile Fields page, click the "Register Fields" button in the notice that appears. This step is crucial for the fields to be registered for translation.
3. Translate the profile fields using the WPML → String Translation page. Detailed guidance on translating profile fields can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/buddypress-multilingual/#translating-profile-fields.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Hi Marc,

I apologize for my delayed response; I wasn't available yesterday.

We have just released BuddyPress Multilingual version 1.8.0 for BuddyPress and BuddyBoss websites. This update includes several new features, such as the ability to translate:

- Custom profile fields
- Profile types
- Group types
- Profile search filters

https://wpml.org/announcements/2025/02/buddypress-multilingual-1-8-0/

Could you please test this version and see if it resolves the remaining issues?

Thank you!

Hi Andrey,

Ok... I updated to version 1.8 and the issue remains the same. Maybe it's time you start actually looking at the problem? It's been more than 3 weeks this ticket is open and nobody actually looked at it.

Best,
Marc

Hi Marc,

I have reviewed this issue and do not see any obvious reasons for the problem.

We need to move your website to a staging server so you can perform the updates without the risk of affecting the live site. Regarding the bug you mentioned in BuddyBoss, I believe it is unrelated to the issue you reported, and you can do updates on the staging server. This staging server will allow us to troubleshoot further without affecting your live site.

Osama has already set up a staging site for you. I will repost his message in the following private message for your reference.

Once the migration is complete, please proceed with all the updates and let me know how it goes. It’s a straightforward process—just follow the provided instructions.
