Hello, I have translated both the Profile URL and Author biography for you, For the URL, I simply added the custom URL to be translatable using XML, but usually you can assign the URL dynamically, this way WPML can adjust the link automatically, And for the Biography translation, I followed this solution : https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cant-translate-biography-of-user/#post-11563847 Anything else I could help you with? |

Hi Ilyes, Thank you for the last modifications! However, regarding the links from the grid, I checked again today and it reverted back to the initial issue => Grid links from french version links to pages in english... I tried to translate the Home Page grid links again, but I could not find them, they just disappeared. Could you please let me me what happens and see how we can fix this for good? Thank you for your assistance ! |

Hello, Since you changed the translation editor to the "Advanced translation editor", then you need to translate the URL by searching for it using the search bar at the top like shown here : hidden link It is now translated to the correct links, let me know if everything works for you, Best, |

Hi Ilyes, Thank you for reviewing this ticket. I don't recall changing the translation editor to ATE, but I see that the links are translated into french again, thank you. In fact, since I am not happy about the automatic translations, and the way it's handled (reverting etc... I don't feel safe), I tried to set up WPML in a way that, moving forward, I would translate my futur content manually, so the translation quality is better, I don't get charged every month and I have more control over the translations. However, I see that my settings have changed, I don't know why. How should I set the settings in WPML, so every translation is manual, in a way that I keep the translated content I translated automatically so far and I stop paying automatic translation fee in the futur? Thank you for your assistance. |

Also, I no longer receive a notification when I receive a response from you, which obligates me to check this portal regularly to see if I received a response from you (not convenient). Do you know why is that and how I could fix it? |

Hello again, I'm sorry to hear that your experience was not the best with the automatic translation, changing to manual would work great in terms of translation quality. I see that you have already disabled the automatic translation engines as shown here : hidden link All the Translation engines are turned off and the translation mode is "translate what you choose", so WPML will no longer translate anything automatically unless you enable these engine again. And the change to the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) only concerns your new translations and not the old ones, that is totally normal, ATE is a better option for your case as it saves Translation Memory , that means if you have one sentence repeated many times on your site, you only need to translate it once and it will be filled automatically in other pages. Saving you a lot of time. And many other useful tools, like the search tool. I do not see any other changes to be done for your configuration, but let us know if you have any other questions, Did you get the notification for this message? |

Hi Ilyes, I have the same problem with this page => hidden link Some text from this page reverted to english language, for the french version of it, after I edited the french page to assign the correct slider from Slider Revolution. So now this page is mixed between english and french language... WPML is so, so frustrating... And TIME CONSUMING... VERY DISAPOINTING... The only positive thing is your good support. How can we fix that so when I try to edit a french page slider or anything, it does not happen again? How can I retranslate the english content into french again? Thank you for your assistance. |

Hello, Thank you for the follow-up, I'm sorry that your experience with WPML was not as smooth as expected, but I assure you that most issues we faced are common issues related to small tweaks in your site's configuration and how to effecively use WPML, I'm more than happy to help you with all your issues and make sure that your site is completely translated and working fine with WPML, First of all, I contacted our systems team to check why you are not receiving any emails, could you check if maybe they are redirected to SPAM ? Also, as part of our support policy and to keep our forum easy to access for our other users, we recommend handling one issue per ticket/chat. For that, (and hoping maybe this fixes the email notification issue) I have created this new ticket for better accessibility: Let me know if you received a notification on the new ticket and you can then mark this intial ticket as resolved, Thank you for your patience, |

Hi Ilyes, Thank you for your support and professionalism, I appreciate it! I am looking forward to have my website fully translated, with no translations reverting constantly. I have seen in the forum that people experience this issue very often... It's so frustrating... Regarding the notifications, I did not receive any. I check my spam folder every day and I have not received any emails from WPLM (I was receiving them until 2.5.2025, if that can help). Also, I verified the box was for the notifications was checked as per your instructions => "One last quick update on the notification issue, under your WPML account : https://wpml.org/account/ and the box was checked. I tried to uncheck it and check it again, hoping it will trigger the system positively. I have another website using wordpress, Elementor and WPML with Astra theme, and it's so easy to use (I haven't updated for a while though as I am planing to erase it). I just use Elementor to create content and I then translate with the editor from english into french. But if I need to make an update directly on the translated page into Elementor, I can do that, which makes it so much easier. Also it's very easy if I want to have a different content from one language to another. But with the current setting on the website you are helping me with, I feel stuck with the editor... Not sure if you understand what I mean? Anyway, I would appreciate any suggestion that would make my life easier when translating/creating content on my website. However, please note that there is one difference between this website you work on and my other website, is that I am using the same domain/sub domain for the other site, and for the site your are helping me with, I have different domain per language (.com domain for the english version and .fr domain for the french version). I will try to create different tickets moving forward. Thank you for your assistance. |

Hello, I just replied on your other ticket fixing most of your reported issues, I will address your Astra site situation here, with the current workflow you are using with Houzez site, it is no recommended to edit your translations that were made with WPML editor using elementor or any other page editor as this will potentially cause conflicts and might even delete your translations, So here is my suggestion : You mentioned before that you would like to translate your site manually and you want to have the ability to edit your translation directly using Elementor, That is possible if you decide to solely use this translation method : https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/ This way, you simply duplicate the English page to French > Click on "Translate Independately" > Open translation with Elementor and translate the content directly there. For the pages that you already translated using WPML translation editor, you could also convert them to "manual" translation using site editors by unlinking the translation from the original : https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/ Then you can edit the translation freely, then you can link it again as shown here : https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/ Let me know if you have any questions, |

And for why Astra seemed easier to translate, Astra is a bigger organization and have multiple designs under their belt, which makes their themes easier to handle with WPML, More than 1 million users makes it subject to multiple tests and updates. So in terms of the code, Astra got tested hundreds of times with WPML, which built a strong foundation, Comparing to Houzez, with 50K users, not as much opportunity for tests, this is why we appreciate your contribution, these reports helps us build a stronger foundation, one step at a time. I hope that made sense, |
