This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was unable to see the translated custom link in the main menu, even though all other items were translated.
Solution:
1. We recommended checking the documentation on how to translate custom links in menus: Translating Menus.
2. We advised running the WP Menus Sync and then using String Translation to translate the custom links.
3. We identified issues with the WP Menus Sync on the client's website and resolved them by using the troubleshooting options in WPML.
4. We provided a screen recording demonstrating the solution: Screen Recording.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you still encounter issues, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket with us.

Thanks for your patience. I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified. Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements. Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me. ✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup. |

Thanks for your reply. It looks like the WP menu sync is not working correctly. Please restore the site and then we would like to request a site snapshot Alternatively, with your permission, we can create a snapshot on our own. For this purpose, we typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you are already familiar with how Duplicator works ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded. To assist you further, please follow these instructions: Refer to the instructions provided by WPML on how to provide supporters a copy of your site: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/ If the archive file exceeds 400MB in size, please utilize Duplicator's file filters to exclude the cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files. Once you have the archive file, please share the link with us. You can use services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms as the snapshot file will likely be large. Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the link to the file there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site. |

Thank you for your understanding and patience. Unfortunately, I've been unable to synchronize the menu successfully; it appears empty after the sync. I'll need to escalate this issue to our 2nd Tier Support for additional assistance. I'll provide you with an update once I receive feedback. |

Thank you for your response. As outlined in this documentation, the correct methods for translating menus can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/. According to the instructions provided, "After the synchronization finishes, a notification at the bottom of the WP Menus Sync page prompts you to translate custom items using String Translation." Therefore, it is necessary to first run the WP Menus Sync and then proceed to translate the custom links using String Translation. There were issues preventing the WP Menus Sync from functioning properly on your website, which have been resolved by implementing the troubleshooting options demonstrated in the video I shared with you earlier. |
