Hi

Just follow all this steps on your documentation here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/how-to-translate-theme-options/ and can't translate the footer from PT to EN. We now have two items on footer builder and we have their ID's but if we search for the ID of the default language on the Strings Translations it doesn't show up.

Hello,

while you wait for my colleague to take over let me try to help.

- Go to WPML → String Translation.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Translate texts in admin screens link.
- This takes you to a searchable list of admin strings. Select your string and click Add to String Translation.
- You should now see and be able to translate the strings on the String Translation page.

- https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings

Let us know how to go if any other questions.

Regards,
Drazen

Hi there,
Thanks for contacting WPML support.

First of all, sorry for the late reply due to a higher workload.

Please try the following steps:

1. Go to WPML > Theme and plugins localization > Strings in the themes
2. Select the theme
3. Scan it for strings
4. Follow the same steps suggested by my colleague here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cant-translate-the-footer-on-footer-builder/#post-14862979

Let me know please if that helps to find the string.

Kind regards,
Mohamed

Hi,

The Header and Footer are created as custom post types, both were set to "Not Translatable" in the WPML settings.

I changed the settings and now they're available for translation. Please go to Dashboard > Footer Builder, and click the + sign to translate the original footer.

Let me know please if that helps.

Kind regards.
