Thank you for responding.

I'm sorry to learn about your choice to uninstall the WPML plugin from your website. Could you please share the reasons behind this decision? Are there any issues with the plugin? I'd be happy to investigate this for you.

However, if you're determined to remove the WPML plugin completely, you can follow the reset method outlined here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/

So we tried to get it working correctly and it just was not working as expected.
I did not want to add an entire new language, nor did I want to have something added to the end of the domain name. (Turned into hidden link which I did not notice until four hours later.)
That was a no go for us.
Also, there were multiple strings that I was able to previously translate with Loco Translate that did not work with your plugin. No changes noticed. I did follow instructions related to "if you can not find the string or if it does not update" without any luck.
I was able to delete everything and requested a refund.
Loco Translate is very easy and the only problem is that it changes all of the strings across all of the sites on the network. I want to be able to easily change about 15 to 20 strings on one site and only about five on the other site.
Just does not work for me.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I want to clarify that setting up WPML requires having a secondary language. Therefore, what I've done is create a secondary language, configure the string you want to edit in that language, and then translate it back into the primary language. This process allows us to modify the string on the primary language page. I understand it might sound a bit complicated, but I can provide more examples if needed. However, I'm sorry to hear about your decision to request a refund. I hope you'll reconsider using our product in the future.

You mentioned that the URL slug for your homepage becomes hidden link . This shouldn't occur if the homepage hasn't been translated.
