Problem:
You are experiencing WPML errors with the code:

http_request_failed

and message:

cURL error 7: Failed to connect to cdn.wpml.org port 80 after 3066 ms: Couldn't connect to server

. Attempts to delete and reconnect the WPML key were unsuccessful.
Solution:
We recommend checking our documentation on resolving the Curl 7 error, which is likely due to a firewall blocking access between our servers and your site. Please contact your hosting provider and request them to whitelist the following domains:

  • wpml.org
  • cdn.wpml.org
  • api.wpml.org
  • api.toolset.com
  • cloudfront.net

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hi WPML team,

I've been encountering these WPML errors for about two weeks:

Code: http_request_failed
Message: cURL error 7: Failed to connect to cdn.wpml.org port 80 after 3066 ms: Couldn't connect to server

I attempted to delete the key from WPML and connect WPML with a new key, but without success. I still encounter the same error when trying to update.

Could you please help me identify the problem?

Please review this documentation from our team on how to resolve the Curl 7 code as it is most likely caused due to a firewall blocking access between our servers and your site.

Contact your hosting provider and ask them to whitelist the following domains:
wpml.org
cdn.wpml.org
api.wpml.org
api.toolset.com
cloudfront.net
