This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate a new website created by importing a ZIP file from another already translated site. After turning off WPML and editing, the system still recognizes it as the old domain. Solution: We recommend re-registering your site and removing the old keys, as they may no longer be valid for your specific site. Follow these steps: 1. Navigate to Plugins → Add New and select the Commercial tab. Then, click on "Unregister WPML from this site." 2. Once the page loads, click on "Register WPML." A prompt will appear asking you to enter the site key. Click on "Get a key for this site." 3. In your WPML account, complete the site key wizard and set it to "Production site." 4. Copy your new key and paste it into the Commercial tab. After that, you can delete your old site keys from your WPML account. You can find more details on this process here.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.

Background of the issue:
translate ether.hr which is a website made from importinh a zip of another site that has already been translated and turning off wpml and editing, and i was done and i wanted to translate the new website now but it thinks it is the old domain
I created a website and translated it using WPML. Later, I zipped the entire site and moved it to a different domain. On this new domain, I removed WPML and made stylistic changes, including some additional edits to differentiate it.
Now, when I try to re-install WPML on this new domain to add translations, it doesn't recognize the website as a new one. Instead, it treats it as the old one from the previous domain.
Could you please help me resolve this so WPML recognizes the site on the new domain as a separate website?
I understand that when you try to reinstall WPML on your new domain to add translations, it is not recognizing the site as a new one; instead, it is treating it as the old one from the previous domain.
Please provide more details about this issue, including any relevant screenshots. Precisely, how did you remove WPML and then reinstall it? Where exactly do you see the problem?
Since WPML was not previously installed on your website, you may need to reset it completely and start fresh to make translations. Here are the steps to do that:
1. Go to WPML → Support and click on the Troubleshooting link.
2. In the Reset section of the Troubleshooting page, check the box for "I am about to reset all translation and language data." Then click the "Reset and deactivate WPML" button.
3. After completing these steps, WPML will be reset and deactivated, effectively removing its data from your site.
4. Activate WPML again and start configuring it from the beginning.
I have done it now and on the website everything works, but it doesnt recognize it on WPML website, it shows 2 same domains and it cant fetch credits correctly
