Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend trying the registration process again as it might have been a temporary connection issue. If the problem persists, try deactivating all plugins except WPML and attempt the registration again. Additionally, contact your hosting provider to ensure that the following domains are whitelisted:

  • wpml.org
  • cdn.wpml.org
  • api.wpml.org
  • api.toolset.com
  • cloudfront.net

Background of the issue:
I am trying to register my plugin renewal on my website, hidden link. I renewed my subscription in April but have not been able to register the renewal.

Symptoms:
I am encountering a connection error: 'Unable to get data from service.' The detailed error is: 'cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds.'

Questions:
Why am I getting a connection error when trying to register my plugin renewal?
How can I resolve the cURL error 28 and successfully register my plugin?

It’s possible there was a temporary connection issue between your server and WPML.org. Please try again to see if the issue persists.

If the problem continues, I recommend temporarily deactivating all plugins except WPML and testing again.

• api.wpml.org
• api.toolset.com
• cloudfront.net
