Hello,

1) I understand, that the provided workaround is not a complete solution in this case and the second-tier support is looking into this issue. Once I have more feedback from our team, I will be in contact again.

2) It makes sense, that you first need to enable Geolocation and WooCommerce, for WCML's location-based currency feature to work.

I will have another look into this issue, but please take note that we only handle one issue per ticket, which is why I would like to split this issue into a new ticket.

Thanks.

Fine by me to split the issue into a new ticket. Do you need me to do that?

FYI - I have already enabled Geolocation and this may be where some of the problems are coming from. I tried changing currencies with and without it enabled and wasn't able to get it working regardless.

Hello,

Yes, I have already created a new ticket and replied to it just now.

You should have received an email notification about it.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi - can I have an update on this please? When do expect to have a fix for this issue? We're ready to launch the site but can't do so until this resolved.

Thanks

For now, it is expected that if you translate the currency options with WPML String Translation, the format is controlled per language and not per currency.

The second-tier support is currently still looking into this issue.

I ran another test and, if I add Haitian Gourde as a third currency, then this currency has be default to a different layout (right_space and comma instead of dot)

I am asking our second-tier support for further revision if this pre-defined config is coming from WooCommerce or WCML.

Hi - I tried changing the format via string translation. The problem is that it overrides the site defaults. So now my GBP prices are displaying in French format, regardless of the language.

I tried setting them back on the settings page (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings) but the values don't remain, i.e. they keep reverting back to French format. This is basically the same problem I reported initially.

Is there anything else I can do while I'm waiting for support to fix the problem? We're hoping to launch the site soon, and I'd prefer to do so with the prices correctly formatted per language.

Update: I tried removing the string translations but I'm still unable to change the default format back via settings (link above). Now all prices are in French format, even on the EN site. I was able to fix this by changing the EUR format to English format. At least now the prices on the EN site are correct.

Thanks

Thank you for your message.

As I mentioned in my last comment, this seems to be a bug, as the format changes automatically when using a different currency than EURO.

Our second-tier support is looking into it and I will let you know once I receive feedback from the team.

Regarding your site:

Make sure to delete all the admin_texts strings that we translated earlier on WPML > String Translation.

Then resave the WooCommerce currency settings.
