Tell us what you are trying to do? - I just checked our account and seems like someone accidently created a key for staging site as a production site. And we need to add an actual production site's key now, but it doesn't allow us to do so because we already have 2 other production sites. As someone mistakenly added one of the staging site's key as a production, how can we edit it to be a staging site? If there is a way to edit cite key's specification to be a staging site? If not, if I delete the site key and add it again as a staging site, will it reset all the translations we added in WPML? How to recover those translations?
No worries. From this page (https://wpml.org/account/sites/), you can remove the key and generate a new one. Then, go in the backend of your site > Plugins > Add new > Commercial > UNregister WPML from the old key (if needed) > RE-register WPML with the new key.
No translations should be lost as they are saved into the database.
I recommend a full website backup just for safety reasons.
