I am trying to: update translations without affecting page design

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: the images with the same appearance as in the original page.

Instead, I got: Distortioned or cropped images (compare with the original page in english)

One interesting thing is that my site is in spanish (main), english, german and catalan. The translations between english and spanish seem to work properly but the problems appear when translating from english or spanish into catalan or german. I already found the work around, as in editing manually the page after updating the translation, but this is becoming annoying as I review the contents of my site and make small changes and adjustments. I find my self adjusting image sizes over and over again for the same page after updating the content and translations. This happens with the guttenberg image block and also with the spectra image block.

thank you.

Hello!

I'll try to help you out while a supporter takes your case.

You mention that the design overall is being affected but only in one language and it seems to affect specific areas of the layout (like images, etc).

1) WPML needs a minimum of 128MB of memory to work correctly and it seems you are not meeting this requirement.

Kindly add this code into your wp-config.php file, right after the database information:

define ('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define ('WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

This is important because if you are using more memory than the one you have assigned, then things like this could happen.

2) Once the memory has been increased go to WPML > Translation Management and send the page to translate + finish the translation again.

3) if the problem continues to happen, then take a reference page and send it to us and point out where the design is failing to translate correctly and also answer us the following:

- Are you using a page builder widget/element to create or configure this content?
- Is this content coming from a theme or plugin that we should know about?
- Is the same exact issue happening on other pages as well or only "some" pages only?

hi. I increased the memory limit as recommended and tried again with different pages. The problem persists. I´m only using guttenberg and spectra blocks.
It happens pretty much on every page of the site and at the moment I think it affects only image size. It seems to happen on every page but not with every image. In some cases it is the image block from WordPress and in other cases is the image block from spectra. What seems to me most curious is that the problem only spreads to catalan and german translations, but not to spanish.
In the page "get support" you can notice how different are the images.
