Hi,
I have translated my site and is know in Danish (original) and English. We are using wordpress divi theme. However, the layout of the English version changes a bit, for example, there the boxes (columns) are no longer the same height, they should be aligned as they are in the original (Danish) version.
Why does this occur and how do I fix it?

Our webpage is hidden link.
I have attached to images where you can see an example of the problem.

Kind regards.
Louise

Hi Louise,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) Please let me know if you add these elements to the page itself or you have a custom body layout for this page.

2) It's not related to the issue, but according to your Debug.info, the WP memory limit needs to be increased. PHP memory is fine, but WordPress uses 40Mb as default. The minimum requirements for WPML are 128 MB. (Kindly check this page https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/)

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file right before the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:

/* Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Best regards,
Osama

Thank you for the quick reply.

1) I have a custom body layout, however with some small additions.

2) Where exactly do I find the wp-config.php file?

Hi,

1) Please check our guide about translating Divi templates. (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/)

Also, please visit the following URLs to check the templates:

Footer: hidden link

Header: hidden link

Body: hidden link

2) You can find the file in your site's root folder.

Best regards,
Osama

1) It still doesn't work for the front page, the columns do not equalize in the translated version. It is a section, with a row where there is one column and then there is a blog where it shows there post. And in the original language these have equal height, but in the translated version it doesn't. The row settings has been set to equalize the heights, which was the trick for the other pages.

2) How do I find the file within wp-admin?
I am not a trained tech person, so need a little bit more guidance.

Hi,

I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama
