This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing an issue with duplicate Avada post cards appearing on their website. Solution: 1. We asked the client to provide the URL of the page where the duplicated post cards are visible. 2. Upon reviewing the provided URL, we advised the client to only create the post cards in the default language (NL) and then translate them to English (EN), instead of creating them in both languages. 3. We also instructed the client to manually re-establish the connections for the translations by following the steps outlined in our documentation. The client should identify each untranslated "Post Cards" and reattach them to the appropriate language, making sure to set the correct default language if necessary. Here is the documentation link for reference: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Could you please share more details about the actions you took that led to the appearance of duplicates? For instance, did this issue arise after you updated WPML, or did it occur following specific actions or clicks on WPML options? Providing this information will assist us in diagnosing and replicating the issue more effectively for troubleshooting purposes.
I am so sorry, but I don't know.. I've updated WPML without working on the website the past couple months. Only this month have I actively worked on the website and started noticing it - and I contacted you not long after. But it might have the same cause as the duplicate media?
What's strange about these duplicates is that they seem to be translations - however, when I go to the post card librabry > and click 'english' at the top, they don't show up. But when I click 'all languages' they do show up. And they all seem to have been published at the exact same time.
Please identify each untranslated "Post Cards" and reattach them to the appropriate language, ensuring that you set the correct default language if necessary.
Okay I am seeing all kinds of issues now. I don't want duplicates at all - I just want translations with the WPML translation editor. I don't understand why these duplicates exist. I also see them in all of my layouts and it's messing with translations. I'm even seeing error messages.
Here:
Dutch (original) hidden link
English: hidden link
Error message: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/customer/www/staging13.worldmasterpianists.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/classes/query-filtering/class-wpml-query-parser.php on line 554
Not even the typography is correct in the English translation.
How can I get rid of all of these duplicates and just use the WPML translation editor? I need need a solution for ALL of these duplicates.
It seems the method you suggested has to do using the WordPress editor. But I only use the WPML translator. I am so confused as to why WPML seems to mess everything up...
I tried removing the WP translation and re-doing it via the WPML translator - but the error is still occurring. WPML also adds a second page in the english translation even though this is only 1 post (weird!) --> hidden link
Then it also asked me to translate ACF field labels and instructions, which isn't necessary.
Still issues with the typography and more... This is starting to give me a headache..
Hello? Can someone please help with this? It's been 10 days since asking for help and this has still not been resolved. This website was supposed to go live today.
So today I deleted all the old translations and re-did them in the WPML translator, but layouts are still not shown correctly. I'm talking missing images, columns, wrong typography, incorrect links, broken conditional logic etc. Please check the original language at: hidden link and the English translation at hidden link

This ticket is referring to the duplicated Avada post cards and it seems you're working on another issue. Our support policy allows us to take care of only one issue per ticket. Are you able to connect the Avada Post Cards using the method I shared here? https://wpml.org/forums/topic/duplicated-avada-post-cards/#post-14819053
Please just help! It's been 10 days! All of these issues are the same issue. WPML is duplicating things. I tried removing the translations of everything and now my entire website is down.
