[Waiting for user feedback] €3,900.00!! Required!!??
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
Background of the issue:
I started using WPML on my production site and activated automatic billing as per usage. There seems to have been some confusion between the development, stage, and production keys, and the pay-as-you-go configuration stopped working for the production environment. When I try to reactivate it, I'm getting a message about the mandatory payment of €3,900.00. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
I'm getting a message about the mandatory payment of €3,900.00 instead of the expected 'Pay as you go'.
Questions:
Is the €3,900.00 payment message an error?
How can I reactivate the pay-as-you-go configuration for the production environment?

Hi,
Let me check this with our ATE team and I will get back to you. In our system I can see that you only spent 13594 credits for hidden link, but for some reason Max available subscription limit is set to 26630000 which is unusually high number, so perhaps this is the cause for the payment.

This issue is happening because something on your site triggered our system to anticipate a high volume of translations. You've already reached the first safety threshold, and the next one is significantly higher—around 4,000 credits or 26 million characters.
Could you check if the "Translate Everything" option is enabled on your site? If so, we recommend switching to "Translate Some" and selectively translating the content you need first. This will help the system process the translations more gradually and prevent you from having to pay for a large volume all at once. https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/#using-wpmls-translation-management
Let me know if that would not be an option for you.
