Background of the issue:
I am trying to edit the translated slugs of products in my WooCommerce website. They contain our brand name, which I would like to remove. I have set the setting Page URL to Translate (this will include the slug in the translation and not create it automatically from the title).

Symptoms:
I make a small change and save the product. Then I open the German WPML Translation Editor (at product edit page), but the URL part doesn't show up. Only the title and all the other content.

Questions:
Is switching to the WordPress editor, changing the URL, saving, and switching back to WPML the best practice?

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

I have tested the option "Translate (this will include the slug in the translation and will not create it automatically from the title)," and it functions as expected.

Please ensure you are using the latest versions of the WPML plugin and its add-ons, specifically version 4.7.1, to benefit from the most recent bug fixes and improvements. While updating may not necessarily resolve your issue, working with the latest code is essential for effective troubleshooting.

You can check for the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on our website. Instructions for updating can be found here: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/.

If you do not see the updates, you may need to click the "Check for updates" button in the Plugins → Add New Plugin → Commercial tab.

When you make a small change and save the product, you should notice that the translation requires updating. Please check the translation editor then or try resending the product for translation from WPML → Translation Management.

All plugins are up to date.

The URL still doesnt show up in the advanced translation editor. Also sending the translation using WPML → Translation Management didnt work for me.

I also did uncheck Don't show translated taxonomies in Translation Editor which I thought might be causing this issue. But it's still not showing up.

What other tests I could do?

Thank you for your feedback.

I need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site—preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible—in order to be of better help. When you log in to leave your next reply, you will find the needed fields below the comment area. The information you will enter is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.
