I am trying to: Check the translation of a page where links reverted back to the non-translated version.

hidden link

A translated version of a PDF that the buttons link to.

The English version.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I reviewed the translated version of the specified page and noticed that the links within the button are correctly pointing to the translated version. I did not notice any issues there. For a clearer understanding, please check the attached screenshot.

As the links appear to be correctly pointed, could you please clear the caches from both your site and browser, and then check again?

If the problem still exists, could you specify where and how I should look to identify the issue? If possible, please provide screenshots or a video demonstrating the problem in your next response. I will review them and do my best to resolve the issue for you.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

That link does look ok.

But I'm still getting the error: WPML didn't manage to translate this page when I click on the pencil next to Spanish.

Hi There,
Thank you for the update.

That error usually appears when any issue occurs while processing the translation job. Would you please try the following and check if that helps to solve the issue?

- Please make a small change to the default page and save the changes.
- Try to update the translation again.

Please check this guide for more details: https://wpml.org/faq/translation-status-stuck-or-displaying-the-error-wpml-didnt-manage-to-translate-this-page/

Please let me know if that helps to solve the issue or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

After doing that, the error went away and I do see translations for the main text now. The issue that we're still having and have seen multiple times previously is that the translated links disappear.

Hi There,
Thank you for the update.

Glad to see that the Translation Editor is loaded properly now!

For your information, the translations made in the Editor should always remain intact and not be removed unless the corresponding content is deleted and then the translation is updated. Instead, every translation you input in the Translation Editor is preserved in the translation memory.

Could you please re-add the link and closely observe which specific action leads to its removal from the Translation Editor? If you can identify and share the particular action that causes the issue, I will check in my development environment and provide you with more targeted assistance. I hope you can understand.

Let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
