Hi There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

a) I checked the video properly and understood the issue. The page that you're trying to duplicate is created in English, which is currently the secondary language of your site. As per the current workflow of WPML, please be informed that it is not possible to duplicate pages from the secondary language to the main language. You can only duplicate the page in the default language to the secondary language. That's why, the options appear disabled when you try to duplicate.

To solve this, you should change the source language of the post to the default language. This solution also applies to posts where all options appear disabled in Translation Management. Please check this video to understand the process: hidden link

b) If the translated post is synced with the default post, any changes you made to the default post will overwrite the translated post. Kindly check and make sure that the translated page has been translated independently. I hope the documentation below will help.

Let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi There,
Thank you for the video.

Please note that the translation procedure for the Block theme is different. When you're in Full Site Editing mode, features of WPML—such as changing the source language or translating independently—will not be visible in the editor. Additionally, I also would like to inform you that the WPML support for the site that uses Full Site Editing mode is not fully integrated yet.

However, since the objective is to duplicate the English template to the Hebrew language, the only possible way here is to change the default language of the site to English first and then complete the duplication. Please check this video to understand the overall process: hidden link

Given that the option to translate independently is not available in Full site editing mode, duplicating the template might lead to problems like- replacement of translation with default contents. So, instead of duplicating the template, I'd recommend translating the template via Translation Management. This approach ensures content isn't synchronized, allowing you to modify the template in any language according to your requirements. I hope you can understand.

We understand the challenges you're encountering with WPML in Full Site Editing mode and are Sorry for the inconvenience. Rest assured, our development team is actively working to ensure full support for the Full Site Editing.

I hope I'm able to clarify things for you. If you need any further assistance, feel free to let me know. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hello There,
Thank you for the video.

I totally can understand your concern. If any of your post types or taxonomies are set to "Translatable – use translation if available or fallback to default language"(in WPML > Settings), changing the site’s default language may make it seem like your content has disappeared. In reality, the fallback does not work when you change the language, not because the content is missing, but because the content doesn’t exist in this new default language.

To learn how to avoid this issue and what to do if you experience it, please check this documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/manage-archive-listings-default-language-change/

I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if there is anything else you need help with. I will be happy to assist.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
