Tell us what you are trying to do? I want to ask about this feature and if there's any news https://wpml.org/forums/topic/allow-chatgpt-translations/

If not, can I pay a dev to code such functionality? Anything to keep in mind?

Hi there.

Sorry for the delay - there's been a full ticket queue in the past few days + there's been a weekend where not many of us, supporters, are working.

I can confirm that there's already an existing internal ticket on this matter (it was opened since the initial request, at the end of June, and after that, there have been a few more customers asking for this, but not a lot).

It is impossible for us, supporters, to know when or if a feature will be implemented and rolled out so I am not sure what to tell you about it. Our system is currently using some of the most popular translation engines and I think it would involve a good amount of work to change how things are working but it is possible that ChatGPT will be implemented somehow at some point.

Again, it is really impossible for me to say more because there's not any more information that I have on this matter at the moment.

I hope that you will find this information helpful and I am sorry if you were looking for a different response. 🙂

An alternative that you can use for now, if you want, would be to consider using manual translation (https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/) and just use chatGPT separately for translating the text in the pages, and after that, you can add them to your site, but I can definitely understand that it was easier if it was already implemented inside WPML.

Have a lovely rest of the day!
