Background of the issue:
I am trying to upload a new language (US English) to our WordPress WPML plugin via the 'add language' route on WP.

Symptoms:
When I try to do so it says 'File extension not supported'.

Questions:
How to solve the 'File extension not supported' error when adding a new language in WPML?
