Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I was able to fix the issue by translating the Properties post type slug in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types Translation. After adding the slugs for Slovenian and Croatian, this works fine now on the frontend (for subpages and in the menu as well) - see attached.
