This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was facing an issue where all links on a specific page were defaulting to the first link's URL when translated using WPML.
Solution:
We recommended the client to first ensure that Divi is properly loading by editing the original page without WPML enabled. If Divi loads correctly, the next step is to enable WPML and use the Advanced Translation Editor to handle the translations and link adjustments. The client also added that some custom code inside Divi was causing an issue and that the issue was not WPML-related. Removing this code helped in saving the page, updating the translation, and correctly displaying the translated links.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking for related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Due to the huge size of the database, the site's migration is taking already the whole day so far.

I am writing you to let you know, that I am still working on it but will need to ask you for more patience.

In case you have a staging site on which the same issue occurs, please let me know.

The reason for the issue appears to be that those links have been unlocked inside the Advanced Translation Editor and have been translated.

By default, those links are locked and will be adjusted automatically, but once they are unlocked, they need to be translated.

See screenshot.

In this case, you need to adjust the links inside the Advanced Translation Editor.

My apologies I forgot to add the screenshot earlier and no longer have it available.

You can see the issue if you edit the translation:

Please open the Advanced Translation Editor for the content in question. If you click on one of the segments that includes the links you will realize that the locks for those links have been removed manually.

Someone must have translated those links and this is why you get the unexpected results.

Please test by adjusting the translated links inside the Advanced Translation Editor, which should solve the issue.

Could you please try to edit the English homepage on Divi and adjust the links manually?

tried it also does not work. Links are locked somewhere but I cannot find them and translate them properly. Why &where can they be locked somewhere in the translations of WPML?

I really only want to trnaslate 3 pages and add links.... This should have not been so hard to make this work.....

Where can I find this in the database so I can translate it there....?

Hello,

I can see today that there are errors occuring when trying to make an edit inside Divi on the homepage, but this is even the case if I disable WPML for a moment.

See screenshot.

Please update all plugins, and if this will not solve the issue, disable the plugins one-by-one to test at which moment Divi will operate again as expected.

Take note, that this appears not to be caused by WPML.

Once Divi is operating as expected on the site I will be glad to take a another look into the link translation issue.

Best regards
Andreas

This is the needle in the Haystack.... When I disable Divi for another template the issue is also still appearing.

How can I delete the translations and start over again only via the Advanced Translation manager?

There was no need to translate the translations.

The issues that are currently occurring on your site appear to be a conflict between Divi and another plugin and this should be solved before focusing on the translations.

Hello Andreas,

Where can you see that it is Divi that causes the problem in combination with a plugin? I cannot see that in the printscreen....?

I visited your site yesterday and saw the following issue:

- Try to edit the original homepage in Divi.

- You will see that Divi is not loading.

- You will see the same issue if you disable WPML.

Question:

How were you able to solve the issue? I can see adjusted links now here:

I edited the original pages with Divi (that was loading. I deleted some html code for fontcolor etc. After that I went to the Advanced lTranslation Editor and there I could work with te translations & links (https search). After that working sequence it worked and the translations of the links became visible.
