Thanks for the information.

Don't worry, all you mentioned is exactly what I want to investigate. The "kind" column will disappear soon and in general all the things that you are experiencing shouldn't have happened at all, I'm personally seeing to it (as a deputy support manager) what's going on and WHY because I know that many of these issues will be gone once WPML 4.8 is fully released (approximately next week, on the 18th-19th) but I want to make sure of it, so we don't get any surprises or delays on your end because of this.

By the way, can you please check the password? it's not working 🙁 (by the way, when I ask for credentials it's always because for some reason the passwords for the account stop working)

Okido - I've send the password to your email. Let me know if it works.

I checked everything yesterday and it indeed is not working as expected. Our devs are looking into that because when I do the same on a sandbox site, it does work as we expect it.

I hope to have any update to give you today.

Oke thanks. The fact the the sandbox site does not deliver problems gives me some hope.

Hello there

Our devs are still looking into this but the glossary is working, because we saw many jobs where the glossary entries were indeed being used like: hidden link (Slovenian language).

The main issue is with Norwegian, in there nothing was indeed added and it seems it's because DeepL seems to expect a different language code than the one used (nb instead of no).

Our devs are looking into this.

I'll give you a better explanation as soon as we find the solution for it. but in short the glossary was failing for Norwegian, it seems it was ok for the other languages, or at least for most of them.

We're going to check and find a solution for Norwegian and then retranslate everything to see if it works.

I'll let you know as soon as I have more information.

Regards,

Hello there!

The glossary is indeed working, we checked so may jobs and the problem you're currently facing is only with norwegian but it seems to be on DeepL's end. We asked them last week about this, since they have a different code for the language (NB instead of NO).

The problem is that it seems it was a recent change. our devs are creating a mapping in the meantime so we can work with that code and I hope to have an answer today and with a possible solution.

The other languages are adding the glossary normally, though, at least in the over 100 jobs we used for testing.

Oké thanks - then I will continue development and testing.

Hello Alejandro,

I am now checking my second language. In this case I have an overview of the changes made. This was not so with the first language.

I can see that in Icelandic none of the translations were updated based on the glossary.

I can resend the whole language to be translated again and overwrite existing translations. But that's not really the idea and costly.

A few examples: So this the original vs what's in the glossary. You can compare them with the results here: hidden link

And I am now also convinced this is the same with Polish.

So to conclude:

Glossary updated problem is solved ✅ but the updating of the existing translations has failed for all languages ❌

Possible but expensive solution is to retranslate and overwrite. I tested this with a couple of posts and this seems to work normally.

Hi there,

We fixed norwegian ad we can see it working normally.

For the other languages, weren't all those languages hidden at one point? I had already asked our devs to check the other languages so if the problem is the same then we will be able to have it fixed quickly.

-------------

For now check the norwegian pages. our devs mentioned there were some that apparently were sent at one point in the past but never arrived to your site so if that's the case, you can try to translate them in this way:

- Try to send it to translate from WPML > Translation Dashboard
- translate them only for norwegian.
- Select the "keep the translations if they exist option (Avoid the "overwrite" option).
- if you see only the "overwrite" translations option enabled, then try to add a page that hasn't been translated in a language, so the other option gets unlocked.

Let me know how it goes. for now with norwegian while I get confirmation from the devs about the others.
