Tell us what you are trying to do?
I want to export a Gravity form from my staging site and import it to my live site.
Will translations of the form be exported and imported to the live site?

What is the link to your site?

Hi,

thanks for contacting us.

Before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.

Exporting/Importing translation can be only done using a plugin compatible with WPML - see https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/import-export/

If any of these plugin allows you to export Gravity Forms, then you should be able to export and then import even their translations.

Hi Laura,
I was hoping as Gravity forms has it's own import/export function and it is a plugin specifically supported by WPML with it's own add on "Gravity Forms Multilingual" that the import export functions would be support for translated content. Is that the case or not?

Hi,
I'm taking over this ticket and I will be glad to help you today.

After making some tests and checking a few tickets with similar requests, I found that the Gravity Forms option of exporting the form might not be supported by WPML. This is probably because WPML translates the form fields and does not create a separate form for each language.

So please try what Laura suggested by using one of the Exporting/Importing plugins that are compatible with WPML - https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/import-export/

Or to export all the strings in the string's domain of the form in the String Translation section then import it into the other site. Please see here:

I would also suggest trying to export the forms as XLIFF files because those files get their translations. Please check this article for more details: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-desktop-cat-tools/configuring-xliff-file-options/

Let me know please if that helps.

Regards,
Mohamed
