[Closed] How can I only auto translate post and categories, Tags?

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

How can I only auto translate post and categories, Tags?

Now I have translaye everything on, but it translated many thing I dont need translation.

I only need my post, categories, tags been auto translated, and when I update them, they can be auto updated again.

One more question, when I update 1 word in my post, the auto-translation is triggered, will it scan the whole post again and considered as the full post was translated again?

What's more, during auto-translation, the whole wordpress backend becomes very slow. I am using dedicated server on Digitalocean.

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting WPML support.

When you've enabled Automatic Translation, you'll get options shown in the attached screenshots that would allow you to turn off "automatic translations" for that particular CPT's.

As for your second question, we have translation memory for all translations done through Advanced Translation Editor/ Automatic Translation https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-wpml-keeps-track-of-your-translations/ .

If you want us to look into your third question about WPML slowing down the site, please open a new ticket.

Our support policy allows us to take care of only one issue per ticket.

Continuing with one issue per ticket helps not only supporters to focus on one issue at once, but also enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster.
