The roles of translator and translation manager are distinct. If you send a page, post, or product to a translator for translation, you can then navigate to WPML -> Translation Queue to complete the translation process.

However, categories cannot be directly sent for translation since they must be linked to a post to be translated.

That said, it seems like you're aiming for translators and translation managers to access the categories pages directly.

To achieve this, you'll need to identify the WordPress role assigned to your translators and translation managers. Note that "translator" and "translation manager" are not separate roles by default, so you'll need to add the necessary capabilities to the roles being used.

Follow these steps:
1. Create a custom role on your site.
2. Assign the "manage_categories" capability to that role.
3. Create a new user with this role.
4. Log in as that user to verify if you can edit categories.
5. Go to WPML -> Translation Management and assign this user as a translator or translation manager.
