This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing a persistent warning when saving or creating translated pages using the classic WordPress editor instead of the WPML editor, despite having set preferences for using the classic editor. This issue started after updating to WPML version 4.7.4.
Solution:
1. Ensure that the WordPress editor is selected instead of the WPML editor from the edit page screen. For detailed guidance, visit Using Different Translation Editors for Different Pages.
2. Open the original content in the WordPress Editor and switch the translation method to "WordPress Editor". A dialog will appear allowing you to apply this setting to the current content, all contents of the same post type, or all site's contents.
3. Avoid making manual edits in the WordPress Editor in a second language while the WPML Translation Editor is set as the translation method, as it cannot recognize such edits and will overwrite them.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, please check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We highly recommend opening a new support ticket if the problem persists. For further assistance, you can also visit our support forum at WPML Support Forum.
