I update text on a page, but do not see the edited text in the translation editor.
On the page (front end) with the language I wish to update the translate on I see the original language.

Hi there,
Thanks for contacting WPML support.

Please try to force another translation's update with the following steps:

- Complete the current translation
- Edit the page in the default language and make another small change
- Update the page
- Update the translation again

If that didn't help, make sure that you have a full backup of the database and website then go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page, and click the following:

- Clear the Cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Fix WPML table collation
- Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs
- Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
- Set language information
- Fix post type assignment for translations

Once that's done, update the original page again and check if you can see those changes in the translation editor.

Let me know please if that helps.

Kind regards,
Mohamed

Hi, I did all the steps you mentioned here. And now the translation edit is not working at all.
When I try to open the editor, I see the grey fields with a shadow animation. But the content is not loading. What do we do next?

Hi,

1. Please send me a link to the page where made those changes, also tell me which texts you didn't see in the translation editor.

2. I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) so I can investigate this issue further.
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.

❌ Please backup your database and website before providing us with access details ❌

If you don't see the form below, please don't add your credentials as they will be publicly exposed:

Hi Mohamed,

I have been trying to deactivate various plugins to see if there is a conflict.
And now, with rank math, rank math pro and litespeed cache turned of, I was able to edit the translation. Are there known issues/conflict with these? I can do trial error but I'd thought I'd ask you first, maybe you know?

Thanks for your help, Deshna

I checked the known issues between those plugins and WPML, but I couldn't find any similar issues with the translation editor.

There is only one known issue with Litespeed related to the categories that are not synchronized

- https://wpml.org/errata/litespeed-cache-categories-are-not-synchronised-to-translated-posts/

For Rank Math, there are multiple known issues but none of them is related to showing a blank ATE page. You can check the full list of known issues here: https://wpml.org/plugin/rank-math-seo/

Rank Math requires having the "WPML SEO" glue plugin for full compatibility (https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/optimize-multilingual-websites-using-rank-math-and-wpml/) but I can't see it in the list of your plugins.

Please install it from the downloads page https://wpml.org/account/downloads/ or from Plugins > Add New > Commercial tab, then clear the cache and check again if you can access the translation editor while the mentioned plugins are enabled.

Thanks, It looks like the SEO plugin solved the issue. Thank you so much for your help. I think I did not do my research on this so I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
