This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are developing an e-commerce site and have used automatic translation. Despite adding the brand name 'Glare' to the glossary to keep it untranslated, it was incorrectly translated in product descriptions.
Solution:
Currently, there is no feature in WPML to automatically retranslate all products to ensure 'Glare' remains untranslated in all languages. You will need to manually check and correct the translations:
1. Navigate to WPML > Translation Management.
2. Select and send the pages you want to fix for translation.
3. Choose the "Translate myself" option.
4. Go to WPML > Transactions.
5. Open the segments and either:
- Fix the incorrect texts manually for free.
- Use automatic translation for that specific segment, which will cost credits.

Please note that any form of retranslation will incur costs as it involves more than just replacing a glossary entry.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am developing an e-commerce site called Glare (hidden link) and have used automatic translation. The brand name 'Glare' was translated to 'Odlesk' in Czech and 'Blendung' in German. I added 'Glare' to the glossary to keep it untranslated across all languages.

Symptoms:
The brand name 'Glare' was incorrectly translated in product descriptions despite being added to the glossary.

Questions:
How can I retranslate all products to ensure 'Glare' remains untranslated in all languages?
Is there a way to avoid additional translation costs since the products were already translated using DeepL?

Could you please provide simple step-by-step manual, how can I retranslate the whole e-commerce, and avoid double pay?
Thank you

Hello!

I'll help you get started until a supporter takes your case.

The retranslate feature will be released in WPML 4.7 so there is no way to do so at the moment.

For now, you have to check all your pages and retranslate the segments yourself. you can Use Automatic Translation for it if you wish or better yet, fix the incorrect segments manually for now.

The steps to do so would be:

- Go to WPML > Translation Management
- Select and send to translate the pages you want to fix
- Select "Translate myself" option
- Go to WPML > Transactions
- Open the segments and either fix the wrong texts manually (free)
- Or use the automatic translation for that segment alone (will cost credits).

Please know that any form of retranslation will cost credits, because it's not as easy as "search and replace X glossary entry" (but we're always looking for more convenient ways to achieve this for you).

Regards,

Hello, meanwhile I have resolved the issue bravely directly in database. I have used this query

UPDATE wp_posts SET post_title = REPLACE(post_title, 'vakító', 'Glare') WHERE post_title LIKE '%vakító%' AND post_type = 'product'

And seems it works great.

Anyway, I have the another simple question, please, help. My client has reports, that some of his subpages mixes the content in languages. For example, the current language is german (currency - euro), but some of products in grid are displayed in czech language with currency česká koruna.

I have tried to replicate on my device, but everything works fine for me. Do you think, this could be just some cache/cookies issue? What should he do?

Hello Lucas,

Glad to know you are able to replace the strings

Regarding the subpages issue, I suggest you to ask one of your client to do a video record, so we can see if we can catch something, based on your description, it looks like a cache issue.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks
