Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. If you have an admin role as a user you should not have problems translating the forms.

Please follow the steps below:

https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/

If the issue persists and you can not translate a form, please give me the form that you ant to translate, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Hi,

Thank you for the details. I created a video showing how I set the user you created for me as a translator and how you can do it for your user:

Thank you.

Hello Christopher,

Thank you for the video. I understand this process, but I am the admin of the website so I cannot add myself as a translator.

Hi,

It is possible to add the admin user as a translator.

Would you please set the next reply as private and provide your login there?

After our test you can change the password.

Thanks.

Thank you for the login information.

I checked and see that the specific user that you have is not there.

Would you please follow the steps below and test?

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.

If the problem persists, I need your permission to copy your website to our server for further investigation.

Thanks,

I have created a staging site. But I can add all users of the website as a translator, except for all Admins. I have deactivated every other plugin as you said.

As you first reply said, admin role users should have all rights and no issue with translating.

With this new WPML update, the only option is to create a sub account without admin rights to select as translator at the 'Translation Method'. Otherwise I cannot translate a thing..

Hi,

Thank you for creating the staging version of the website for further investigation.

Would you please provide the login info for that with an admin user so I can report this to the second-tier support and ask for help?

I do not have the link to the staging version. You can set the next reply as private.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for the login information. I checked and it seems that your user has a specific kind of permissions or capabilities that are not WordPress default.I tested by adding a new user with my email and selected Administrator as the role.

I managed to add myself with no issues as a Danish translator and while checking the translation management it allowed me to translate Danish.

This shows that there is some sort of manipulation happening for your user which I am not sure what it is that causes WPML not to detect that specific user.

Thanks.
