Background of the issue:
I am setting up a multisite and trying to display translations on the page/post listing page without editing them within the page itself. I have followed recommendations to deactivate plugins on the network admin site. I want the setup and UI to match another site where this plugin is installed.

Symptoms:
I am unable to enable the 'Language' column in the admin UI to show translations on the page/post listing page.

Questions:
How can I enable the 'Language' column in the admin UI for a multisite setup?
Why are the translations not showing on the page/post listing page despite following the same setup process as another site?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

To show the Languages column, you must click in the Screen options tab at the top right and activate the Languages checkbox -see attached image-

Note: The post type must be set to be translatable in WPML -> Settings -> Post type translation section.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos, thanks for your reply. The page / post type is active for translations but the languages option is not visible under screen options.

Hi there,

The credentials seem to be correct, however, I get redirected to the frontpage and I can't find a way to get to the backend.

Hi Carlos, we have discovered that the WPML plugin is causing the redirect issue which is a problem. Do you have any ideas on how we can fix this?

We have un-installed and re-installed the plugin and the same issue is occurring. This is also happening to us. If we deactivate the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin in the DB then we can access the site again, but then WPML is not available in the left navigation.

We are installing the plugins on the Network Admin and then the setup is only available to us on the multisite subdomains.

Here is an example of our subdomains:
arent site - hidden link
Child site - hidden link

The plugin is currently deactivated so you are able to access the CMS. are you able to assist us with this issue first and then continue with the previous issue?

Thanks,

Hi again,

As this last message refers to a different issue than the original one, I kindly ask you to open a new ticket describing the redirection issue. This way we will be following our support policy of solving one issue per ticket.

Thank you very much for your understanding!
