Background of the issue:
I am trying to search only in the current language using the Porto theme, but the search is displaying products from other languages too. Here is the link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The search results are displaying products from all languages instead of just the current language. However, when I click on a product, it opens in the current language.

Questions:
How can I configure the search to display products only from the current language?

Thanks for contacting us.

Looks like there are some issues with the search query and I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thanks for your reply. I'm getting "You don't have permission to access this resource." as shown in the attached screenshot and could you check?

Hi, we are not blocking your country, can you try to open the website in another browser or with VPN please?

Thanks for your reply.

I don't believe this is related to a firewall issue, as I'm able to log in as shown in this screen recording hidden link . However, I'm currently unable to access the backend properly.

Could you please temporarily deactivate any security plugins to see if that resolves the issue? Make sure to create a full backup beforehand.

If possible, it would be even better to clone the site to a staging environment and share the credentials with me. That way, I can troubleshoot safely without risking any changes to your live/production site in case something goes wrong.

Hi, I tried your login credentials and everything works fine — something must be wrong on your end.

Thanks for your reply. I've tried using a VPN, and the result is the same.

Could you please provide a snapshot of the site? Alternatively, with your permission, I can create one myself. For this purpose, I typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you're already familiar with Duplicator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded.

To guide you further, please adhere to these instructions:

1. View the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link

2. Consult WPML's instructions on providing supporters with a copy of your site: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

3. If the archive file exceeds 400MB, please use Duplicator's file filters to exclude cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.

Once you have the archive file ready, kindly share the link with us. You can utilize platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar for file sharing, as the snapshot file might be large.

Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the file link there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.

Hi,

Thank you for the instructions.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to create a snapshot of the site using Duplicator — even with filters applied, the archive file remains too large.

Would it be possible for one of your colleagues to try accessing the site from a different PC or network on your end to see if the issue persists?

Let me know if there's an alternative method you'd prefer for troubleshooting.

Thanks for your reply. My colleague is also seeing the same “Forbidden – You don’t have permission to access this resource” error. Could you try cloning the site to another server so we can investigate further? Alternatively, you can try to replicate the issue on our sandbox site here hidden link .

Please do not import your entire website into the sandbox. Just install the necessary plugins or theme to replicate the issue.

Hi,

Thank you for your patience. We’ve discovered that our hosting provider had an additional security layer we were not initially aware of. That was the reason for the “Forbidden” error.

This has now been resolved, and you should be able to log in without any issues.

Please let us know if you encounter any further problems.

Thanks for your reply. We're still getting the same error "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access this resource." when we try to access the wp-admin page. I can log in, but I cannot visit the admin dashboard.

My colleague tried, and we're getting the same access issue. Are you able to clone the site to another staging site? Or replicate the issue on our sandbox site here hidden link so that we can check and find a solution for you?
