When creating a multi-language site, is it possible to use different domain names for different laguages?

Lets say we have an english site called example.com. Can we have a german translation on the same site, but on example-germany.de instead? Or would the german version have to be example.de?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

yes, it is possible, you would have all the content on your main website and then just set up your domain and WPML domain per language settings correctly.

Please check:

Regards.

Hi Drazen,

Thanks for your response.

So I will have all the english AND german content on the same WordPress installation, and then set up the german language to be shown on the german domain? Is that just a setting in the WPML plugin?

That is correct, it is just a setting in WPML -> Languages.
