Hi WPML Support,

I'm trying to use the Translate Automatically feature in WPML to translate a page, but I keep getting the message: "WPML didn't manage to translate this page."

Also, I get issues when i translate a pure custom html page. My team tried translating it manually, but after triggering the automatic translation the section is removed.

Would you be able to help me with this?

Hi there,

Please go to WPML->Support->ATE error logs and share with me the top 3 logs from that page.

Also, if possible, share with me the HTML you are using that is not being picked up by the Advanced Translation Editor, so I can test it on a sandbox environment.

here's the top 3 ATE logs.

so for the pages we have 2 scenarios.
1st: we use uncode theme page builder. some pages I get the error when I click the edit translation. some are fine. so it is inconsistent.

2nd: we did a pure custom html on our homepage. my manager did a manual translation for one of the section, so he click the lightning icon (translate this text automatically) and it worked. but we needed to update and click the edit translation again and one section is gone.

Hi there,

For the 2nd issue that you are experiencing, the 2 methods of translations do not communicate.

The Advanced Translation Editor (and automatic translation) operate on the cloud level, and do not currently communicate with the database.

The manual translation is communicating with just the database.

We strongly advise using the two together because it can result in missing data.

For that page using the pure HTML I would advise to use manual translation as shown in this documentation and apply it only for this page.

For the warning error you receive, I will need to further investigate.

The ATE error logs point to some pair issue but hard to tell yet..

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.
