Background of the issue:
I have copied the site from hidden link to hidden link for WPML. After setting up WPML in hidden link, I tried to edit the header but it is showing error.

Symptoms:
The preview could not load due to the iframe response being incomplete. This is most often related to a plugin conflict, or customizations introducing a PHP error. Origin URL: hidden link, Preview URL: hidden link. Edit pages are working fine, but the issue is just with the header. Deactivating all plugins except WPML did not resolve the issue, but deactivating WPML plugins allowed the header to be edited fine.

Questions:
Why does the header edit show an error when WPML is active?
How can I resolve the iframe response error related to WPML?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

While you wait for my colleague to take over the ticket, let me try to help you with the issue quickly.

WPML should work fine with Pro theme, but could be there are some issue with latest versions.

1) Can you please try next:

- Make sure you have a backup.
- Disable all other plugins and leave active only WPML plugins and Pro theme one
- Check if the issue still happens.

2) If yes, can you please try to reproduce and show us issue on next test site:

- hidden link

This will help us speed things up.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Drazen

Hello,

While the issue is happening on your site, I actually tested it on a clean site and got no problem. This tells me the problem is not with Cornerstone + WPML alone but there's something else in there.

Would you please use a plugin like All In One Migration or any other plugin you like to use and send us a copy of the site? Or give me permission so I can get one and send it to our devs?

This way they can check what's going on at a deeper level and find a solution for you 🙂

Regards.

Thanks!

This might take a bit, I'll let you know when we have info from our developers about this. In the meantime it seems you can set the header as not translatable in WPML > Settings > Post Types Translations and it should still work, since everything else is quite dynamic.

Just an update on this. I sent the case to our devs and I'm waiting on them to let me know more about it.

I have a question for you. was the header working at any moment, maybe with a different WPML version or at any other time? When did you modify the WPML settings for the page? was it before or after seeing the error?

This info could come handy to our devs because I also checked online and it seems some people has had similar issues with this and other plugins (from what I could gather in the themeco forum) and it seems to always be a sort of configuration issue, but in here everything seems to be ok.

Let me know 🙂

Hello there!

We found a difference that doesn't exist on the sandbox and might be part of the problem here

When we try to load the header, we get a 301 redirection from hidden link (which is the site URL according to the settings) to hidden link (notice the last trailing slash).

This is the only thing that seems to differ between the test we made and your site. Changes like these seem irrelevant but are usually part of a bigger situation.

Do you have plugins that create redirections automatically or are you aware of this redirection? There shouldn't be any redirections at all, especially in the back-end so it might be this that's causing WPML to break the page.

Can you tell me more about this by any chance?

Oh seems like its font issue. Fonts are loaded from hidden link site. I have reset the fonts to load from hidden link and now header editing is working fine.

Thanks for your support!
