[Resolved] It looks like the automatic translator function with prepaid credits is not function well
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to use WPML's automatic translator function with prepaid credits, but it's not functioning correctly. Specifically, when switching languages using Divi templates, the menu does not update as expected, and it seems like the credits are not being added correctly. Solution: This issue occurs specifically with Divi templates where multiple identical templates are defined for different languages. For instance, if you have two Divi templates for headers, one in Dutch with ID 4116 and one in English with ID 7592, ensure that the correct menu is manually selected in the Divi template settings for each language. You can switch the language using the top-bar language switcher or by directly accessing the URL and selecting the appropriate menu within the Divi template.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Additionally, if further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
I will try to answer the question before assigning the ticket to one of my colleagues.
Would you please give us the details of the issue you are experiencing?
Can you do as follows and see if it works ok?
- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.
If not, I'd appreciate it if you could provide some screenshots and more details to be able to understand the issue.
Thanks for your reply,
I tried to make changes but translation is not working.
I'll send you some screenshots.
It says there are no credits available.
And a screenshot that's shows some credits available.
Something might be wrong in having the site two times in the list?
I do not know which one to add credits to.
I hope you can help us out.
I would like to offer to have a closer look at the problem and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate this issue further.

The ATE Error Log is displaying the following error:
cURL error 6: getaddrinfo() thread failed to start
Once I try to open now the Advanced Translation Editor on the site, it opens as expected which means that this might have been a temporary issue. Such errors usually can occur due to a falsy DNS config on the server.
Thanks for your reply,
It looks like translating jobs are working but I know I receive an error on switching to a different language from the dutch language:

Hi Joost,
I can see it, it all looks correct based on the setting. Could you please provide a duplicator copy for further debugging? This way, we can test and isolate this locally to find why it's caused.

Hi Joost,
this only happens with Divi. There are two identical Divi templates defined for the header. The one in use has the ID 4116 (wp-admin/post.php?post=4116&action=edit&lang=nl). In this template, the Dutch menu "DE Trommel Hoofdmenu" is set up correctly.
When I switch to English, the template with ID 7592 is loaded (wp-admin/post.php?post=7593&action=edit&lang=en&admin_bar=1).
The issue is that the menu doesn’t update as expected; it still loads the Dutch menu. Once I manually select "DE Trommel - Hoofdmenu - English," the correct menu appears. You can switch the language using the top-bar language switcher, or by directly accessing the URL and selecting the appropriate menu within the Divi template.
