[Resolved] Language switcher configured but nothing visible in the header

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You have configured the language switcher for your WordPress site using WPML, but it is not visible in the header.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you try adding the language switcher to a custom location by editing your header template and inserting the switcher as a shortcode. For detailed instructions on how to add the switcher using a shortcode, please visit the following guide.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Go to Appearance-> Customize-> Additional CSS and edit the CSS for the toggle. (hidden link)

I saw that when you press the logo, English always comes up.

This error had already been fixed in an earlier ticket, but now it's there again

Hi,

1) I'm not sure why the Portuguese indicator is not showing. Did you change the CSS for the toggle?

2) I fixed the logo issue.

Hi,

I haven't changed anything in the CSS, I'm not a programmer. The space between the flag and the arrow is now too big

Hi,

Now it looks good.

Unfortunately, I can see that the icons in the footer are huge!
Does that have something to do with it or is it a new problem?

1) It's good to hear that the language siwtcher issue is fixed.

2) I don't see the footer issue. It might be a caching issue.

If you can see it after clearing the cache, please open a new ticket for this issue.

then the menu changes. strangely the light is present on every page, only on certain pages! Very strange that the footer should be the same on all pages

I don't think it's related, as the changes made in this ticket are related to creating the language switcher and customizing it.
