Yep. I will be updating ACF by today only, and will let you know If I see any good change. Moreover, As I need to translate the custom post type mmi-family, then whats the use of updating the field-group I did earlier and it also utilized a certain number of credits, also what about those credits which are already lost in the process of translating pages in bulk, which actually got failed and around 15-17k credits were lost.

Can you please revert the lost credits back, I would need them in order to translate custom posts like mmi-family.

Thanks

In this case you would need to provide me some exact example for jobs that you suspect to have charged more credits then they should have charged.

So far, I can not see any issues on the system.

There have been more than 60 jobs that were canceled and almost all of them have not any translations. Only a couple of those jobs have partially translated segments, which were saved inside translation memory.

Apart from that all jobs have been completed. Once a job is completed, the entries are saved inside the translation memory.

You would usually only lose credits, if you start to translate on the translation editor, do not complete the job and do not use the buttom on the bottom left to save translations to translation memory before closing the translation editor.

Hi Andreas,

I feel there is some issue with bulk conversion process, due to which I lost credits:

1>> converting pages in bulk at my first attempt and failed, (converted one-by-one later)
2>> I tried converting field group 37414 i.e Custom Family Options in ACF that got converted, credits got utilized but no impact anywhere " how should I know whats converted here"
3>> Tried converting Blog posts in bulk failed, credit utilized in first attemptbut no translations again I did them one-by-one but that time no credits were utilized, so that fine. : )
4>> Now, as you can see in the SS attached below, when I tried converting all of the MMI-Family custom posts in bulk the page show bad gateway 502, i tried 2-3 times but not working a few shows in-progress and rest not converted, then I tried doing individually, it worked as you can see at the last.

As per conclusion, I feel around 20k credits are lost and not utilized.
Also I see, stage site showing 0 credits, but as per my last check it should be around 6k.

Can you please revert the credits now ?

The bad gateway error ususally indicates that the site could not connect to our server and this is why a translation did not occur. I see various canceled jobs on our system for which no credits have been charged.

Please find attached your credit report for October 2024.

There were only two false entries which charged 2x 3238 credits. I am not sure, why the entry appears as false. Could it be that this content was removed from the site?

Credits are usually not refundable. I can make an exception and consult internally of we can refund those 6476 credits, but apart from that the report is not displaying any entries that have been charged twice.

If you would like me to investigate this further, you would need to name me exact examples.

Hi Andreas,

Sadly I am experiencing bad gateways every time am trying to translate more than two pages, so it seems a plugin functionality issue or so, can you please try from your side once and let me know. ( I think this needs serious fixation from your end )

Also, none of the content from site changed or removed yet, as the sheet shows two false entries which charged 2x 3238 credits. It would be highly appreciable if you add them back to the credits account.

I dont clearly remember what were those pages I selected in failed bulk translation but might be these are the following ones.

As I am not sure, why there were two "false" entries on the log, I have refunded 6476 credits to your account.

Take note, that this is an exception and credits are generally not refundable, as the translation engine providers also charge us for using their services with WPML.

I would like to point out again, that due to the translation memory of the WPML Advanced Translation Editor it is usually impossible that you get charged twice for translating the same segment.

How WPML Translation Memory works:

Regarding the 504 errors, please contact us if these errors occur again.

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your help with refunding credits, When I am trying to translate less than 4 custom pages from mmi-family it does but more than that, lets say when I tried to translate the one appearing in image in bulk (plz refer SS), It shows 502 again, also as you will be able to see in the image some of them shows (In processing) and same icons are appearing for all those pages from mmi-family which got effected due to 502 server error, kindly look into this.

Thanks

I just noticed one more thing, earlier when 502 was happening no credits were getting deducted, but now as I converted a few pages credits got deducted and it still shows in processing. Can you please check and verify.

Have attached the SS for the latest ones, mmi-application from page 4, I suspect as from page 3 also few pages are still in progress, credits are utilized there as well.

Thanks

It seems there are occuring errors when translating this CPT and leads on our system to a block.

I will need to create a copy of your website for testing. I would use the plugin "All In One WP Migration" for this purpose.

Do you agree if I create a local copy of your site for testing?

Yes, please go ahead and do the needful.
As If you are alreading doing this,
please take a look on URLs, since I have started converting pages,
" /? " has started appearing at the end of every URL and I couldn't catch as
from where and how It is coming. I guess after creating a copy you can find the cause.

Thanks

On my local copy of your site I am not able to test the automatic translation.

I am not having an issue with completing the translation myself inside the Advanced Translation Editor.

I can see a few issues that are caused inside the functions.php file of the child theme:

PHP Notice: Function wp_enqueue_script was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts, admin_enqueue_scripts, or login_enqueue_scripts hooks.
This notice was triggered by the jquery handle. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.3.0.) in D:\Work\Local Sites\unitedabrasives\app\public\wp-includes\functions.php on line 6085

PHP Warning: Undefined variable $id in D:\Work\Local Sites\unitedabrasives\app\public\wp-content\themes\Avada-Child-Theme\functions.php on line 1638

PHP Warning: Undefined array key "s" in D:\Work\Local Sites\unitedabrasives\app\public\wp-content\themes\Avada-Child-Theme\functions.php on line 1653

I suggest you solve those issues and then get back to me, in case further assistance is needed.

Hi Andreas,

First of all, I really appreciate your patience as you stick around and trying to solve the issue, moving ahead I would like to know are those translations appearing in SS below, you have done inside the Advanced Translation Editor. Can you share the path.

And If you have really translated them in bulk, then I think I can avoid translating from Language Translation option. Simply, I would rather follow your steps as you have done.

Now If talk about the WARNINGS
They are unlikely to be the direct cause of the 504 Server Timeout issue I am experiencing with bulk translations in WPML. As those are just PHP notice, meaning it’s a recommendation to fix the code, not a critical error.

In my knowledge, A 504 Gateway Timeout error generally occurs when the server is taking too long to respond, which is more commonly caused by: Long-running processes (such as bulk translation). WPML trying to process too many translations at once, leading to timeouts.

I am counting on you Andreas.
Thanks

The errors that mentioned in my last comment are not caused by WPML but they could intervene with the functionality of WPML or other plugins. the further could be the reason for the 504 errors.

It is the repsonsibility of the person who created your Child Theme to have a look into those errors and fix them.

Hi Andreas,

As I mentioned earlier, those WARNINGS could not be the reason of 504 SERVER ERROR, still I have resolved them. Those were related to search bar function. Now can you please do the needful ASAP.

Also, you talked about translating a few pages on your end, but I didn't saw any of the translated pages there in the dashboard.

Second, yesterday when I tried to translate "Benchstand Belts" from mmi-family. Credits got deducted, its in review but are not getting approved. Can you please check this, why it is not translating them, there 4 pages in total.

In the failed process of translation(two days ago), 504 credits were lost but pages were not translated from mmi-family category.

Please try to reply for all of my query above.
Thanks

Hello,

When testing the translation, I was doing this on a local copy on a virtual server.

I am suspecting that this issue i related to the server and used WP Engine platform, as there are a few must use plugins for WP Engine that will not operate on my local copy.

It would be really helpful, if you could set up a staging site on WP Engine, so that we can run further tests.

The private reply form is enabled again. Take note, that we will also need FTP access to this staging site.

Best regards
Andreas
