In my Dutch product I add a file to the PDF from Media - 'bestand toevoegen' Where can I add the English product and product picture? Hello there, Regarding the downloadable files, I went to WPML -> Settings -> Custom fields translation and clicked on 'show system fields'. Then I searched for _downloadable_files and set it to 'Copy'. After that I made a small change to the Dutch product and saved it, just added an empty space so that WPML sees the translation needs update. Then I updated the translation and the files were available in there. Can you please check it? Regarding the media, I see that you have both options enabled in Media attachments: Duplicate uploaded media from original Checking the English product I can see the image in there as well, is there a specific product you're having issues? You can also duplicate the media going to WPML -> Settings -> Media Translation > Duplicate existing media for translated content and Duplicate the featured images for translated content > Start Thank you, please let us know. |

I am sorry but I do not understand what you mean. As you can see, there is a Dutch product, with Dutch front and text and PDF in Media as there should come an English one. So simple is it. So the question is: How to put in The English Product (f.i. Pruning Guide) the link to the English PDF Pruning Guide from the Media. And how do I put the English image of the product Pruning Guide PNG in the English Product. Sure the Dutch image is already there! But I need the English one in the product. See my image before. Thank you! Sorry but I find it difficult when somebody works in my website when I am not present. So I deleted the user Ilyes. THANKS and best regards, |

Hello I have installed WPML Media Translation because I have pdf products that need to be different in each translated product. Right now, I cannot see anything when I open WPML > Translation ! Here is an example product : hidden link This product needs to have the english version pdf available in Product View. |

Hello there, I understand your need to have the credentials removed. I'm afraid that the access to the site is needed to properly debug this. Is it possible for you to create a copy/staging site where we can debug it without affecting the live site? Or, if you prefer to share the site in a file for us to create the staging on our own, I'd like your help creating a package/zipped copy of your website and sending it to us. Please use the plugin Duplicator(hidden link) to create a full copy of your website so we can take a look at it and see what's causing the issues you're experiecing. Please check our tutorial on how to create a Duplicator package here: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/ If you come across problems while creating it, please feel free to ignore(exclude from the backup) both uploads and cache folders. Hello there, Thank you for sharing that information. I'd like to ask permission to make a copy/staging version of your site where I can debug this closely without affecting the live site. I'll make sure to delete this copy as soon as we get this issue fixed. I'm afraid of debugging directly on the live site and cause issues to your visitors. Hey Monique, I'm afraid the credentials are still not working on my end, I made sure to copy and paste it to a notepad first to make sure there was no issue like empty spaces for example, but I keep getting: FOUT: de gebruikersnaam of het wachtwoord dat je hebt ingevoerd, is onjuist. Hello Monique, Thank you for providing me with that access. I checked it and your assumption was right, the Media Translation needed to be set up. I fixed it on the staging site and then I was able to translate the product images and files. I made a small demo in the live site as well, I used the product you shared previously and translated its image, just added a very tiny US flag to differentiate from the Dutch product: hidden link You can try to translate your media now in WPML -> Media Translation. After you do it, you'll see a notice: 'De media die u hebt geüpload zullen worden gebruikt in toekomstige vertalingen van teksten. Dezelfde media kan gebruikt worden in reeds bestaande berichten. Wilt u deze nu scannen en vervangen?' You can use this to automatically replace the media in the English product/page for you when you're translating medias. Or you can go to WPML -> Settings -> Media Translation -> Select 'Bestaande media in alle talen vertalen' and click on Start. |
