This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The client is using the Advanced Translation Editor in WPML with an Elementor Widget from Brainstorm Force Ultimate Addons. They are facing an issue where line breaks (

<br />

) entered in a table cell are not displayed in the Spanish translation, although they work correctly in German, English, and French translations.

Solution:

We recommended the client to deactivate the 'Bigger Segments Switch' in WPML's Advanced Translation Editor settings, which resolved the issue of line breaks not appearing in the Spanish translation.

Additionally, we advised the client to ensure all plugins, including Elementor and WPML, are updated to the latest versions after taking a full site backup.

Hi Frank,

Thank you for the updates. The ticket is not closed yet. But its status has changed to *Escalated to Developers*. It will be related to the following errata.

https://wpml.org/errata/line-breaks-are-ignored-when-using-the-advanced-translation-edior/

https://wpml.org/errata/disabling-i-prefer-bigger-segments-is-not-working-properly/

Please note that is working as expected in the sandbox site with the older version of ATE (WPML Advanced Translation Editor) hidden link

Therefore a couple of requests.

1) Please upgrade to the latest version of plugins, including Elementor plugins after a full site backup . We would like to make sure the issue exists with the latest versions or not (while using the older version of ATE, WPML Advanced Translation Editor).

2) If the bug exists, please allow me to make a copy of the site using Duplicator to test a workaround

Hi Bigul,

great, you helped me. I deactivated the Bigger Segments Switch and now I get the Lines as excepted even in Spanish. Does this have other side effects?

Thanks, Frank

Hello,

Sorry for the very late response. The fix for this bug is included in the latest releases of WPML (4.8 series).

Please take a full site backup (mandatory) and then update to the latest versions. After updating, check if the issue is resolved and let us know the result.
