Symptoms:
I only get the menu in Greek or Italian no matter the selected language. Sometimes it is always Greek and sometimes always Italian. At the dashboard -> appearance -> menu the Greek menus are duplicated while the Italian ones are missing. After pressing save or sync, they return to the normal state temporarily.
Questions:
Why is the menu not changing language as expected?
Why are the Greek menus duplicated and the Italian ones missing?
I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
Unfortunately it was not solved. As I said at a previous message the bug appears and dissappears without warning or at least without someone changing the menus.
The good things are that:
1. it does not affect the front end.
2. I managed to display the menu in Italian.
But the problem is that when I try to change something in the menu throught the dashboard, I have to be patient and try saving and refreshing a lot of times until it works as expected.
You can see it at the screenshot.
You can still log in at the website with the credentials I provided to check for the problem but please inform me before making any changes in order to take a backup and approve.
I have a similar report from another client and I'm waiting for a staging site to investigate this further. Our 2nd Tier Support suspected the issue was caused by some server cache(redis) issue. Could you provide a staging site from your end so that we could continue to investigate this?
