Background of the issue:
I am developing a site and have a menu structure that works well in English. I have automatic translate turned on.

Symptoms:
Only some of the English menu entries under 'PRODUCTS' are showing in other languages. They are not updating as expected

Questions:
Do I have to manually build the menus in each language?
Should changes in the English menu automatically update other languages menus too?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

WPML's WP Menus Sync option can create default WordPress menus in all languages if all pages have been translated, but it lacks support for translang custom menu items and menu options. In such a case, items might need to be translated, and options might need to be set manually for each language.

I suggest trying to translate each menu manually at Appearance > Menus.

Guide:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/#custom-links

If this does not solve the issue, please let us know.

Best regards
Andreas

So i have to translate the english menu label to another language (using google translate), then try to find that page name by viewing the ALL pages list, and then adding to menu. Wow that's a lot of work - basically WPML is doing nothing in this case. Not very useful.
