I am trying to translate my taxonomy label 'Merk' in my filter in all languages on my site hidden link using WPML.

Symptoms:
My taxonomy label 'Merk' has been translated in all languages, but the filter always shows the label in the default language.

Questions:
Why does the filter show the taxonomy label in the default language despite translations?
How can I ensure the taxonomy label 'Merk' is displayed in the correct language in the filter?....
