Hi there.

1. Before this ticket gets assigned to my colleagues, can you please elaborate a bit more on this matter?

How long are the delays and how different are they compared to the time before String Translation was updated?

Does this happen on specific scenarios or steps that you go through or they are happening all the time on any language?

Thank you for contacting the support. I am assigned this ticket and 'll try my best to help you fix the problem.

Before proceeding further, may I ask you to try the following?

IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

- Deactivate all plugins except WPML and its addons and check for the issue.
- Activate each plugin one-by-one, while keeping check on the issue after a plugin is activated. This way you'll be able to pinpoint a plugin causing the load time to increase, if any.
- If the problem persists, repeat the above steps with a default theme of WordPress (i.e. 2021 or 2023).

Please let me know your findings.

Hello.
I deactivated all plugins but essential ones (WooCommerce Stripe Gateway, WooCommerce Payments, Jetpack) and my website was loading 2-3 sec as it used to be. Then I activated WMPL string translation and it was also OK. The moment I activated WPML Multilingual CMS - website loading time went to 10-15 sec immediately.
Similar info was provided to Mihai before.
Can we please focus on the issue? My website is down for several days and all I was advised is to check other plugins.

Thank you for the updates. I understand you mentioned this in one of your earlier messages but purpose was to check with WPML and standard theme only first. So we can see how are the load times with WPML only.

Anyways, may I ask for admin access to your website to check the issue in detail? You can create a separate admin user for this purpose, which can be deleted afterwards.

Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in admin and on frontend having load time issue (if there are specific ones).

Remember to take full backup of your website and database before proceeding. However, a staging/test site is highly recommended, because I may need to try some changes/fixes on the site (including plugins & themes deactivation), which may cause conflicts with the live site otherwise.

Please confirm it in your next reply or let me know if you do not agree with the mentioned.

I am trying to login with the credentials I had during this cloudways staging site creation, as well as, the ones you provided to your site, but unfortunately none of these seems to work for hidden link.

Can you please provide me one of the admin user/pass for this staging site?

Hello.
I am very confused now, on the staging site I get a message "Logging in with WordPress.com is disabled for sites that are in staging mode." How can I give you site permissions if such option is disabled?

hmmm, when migration was completed, did you login by any chance to check if everything was setup right?

If yes, can you use the same method to login again? or perhaps, use the same user/password you try to login to your wordpress.com site?

As an alternative, do you remember any other admin user from your site, which you can use to login? Since the site is migrated, all users should also be in the DB.

Please let me know or I'll see what I can do about it.

Hi Waqas!
No I did not try to log in. Currently I see same error even when I try logging in with original username and password.
Can you please advise if there is an alternative to have my site live now? At least one language option as it is dead for 2 weeks now. Thanks!

I tested on CW site in much detail and 've escalated the issue to our 2nd tier team, for further investigation.

Team suggest the workarounds from this Errata https://wpml.org/errata/wordpress-6-3-performance-issues-with-string-translation-in-specific-scenarios/.

I've tried this on the CW staging site and seems to have some improvements. Please try this on your site and let me know if it helps.

Remember to take full backup before proceeding.
