Problem :- I try to convert site in Arabic language. When i convert my page in Arabic option then whole dashboard is converted in Arabic language. Need to prevent dashboard language change in Arabic it's only show in English language.
I set option Manual translation. In User profile set editing language as admin language also.
Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will be happy to help you.
In order to keep the language of the WordPress dashboard in English you can:
* Un-check the option: "User profile set editing language as admin language also.", as this will change the language of the dashboard depending on the language you are editing the website.
After, follow these steps:
- go to WP-Admin -> Users (select the user you want to do the change)
- on the section "Language" select the language you need (English in your case)
- click "Update profile" at the bottom of the page
I was able to check the website and you just needed to un-check the option "User profile set editing language as admin language also.", as I mentioned previously.
(please check the video: hidden link)
I left the option needed un-checked so it should be working as you needed now.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
I was able to check further by creating a new page an translate it form EN->AR, and the dashboard seems to show correctly (only in english in both languages).
*I deleted the page as I noticed it was automatically added to the main menu.
It seems that the problem is only with the homepage (as I checked the custom post types and they show up correctly).
1) Could you please try clearing the cache of the website from the server (if there is any cache mechanism in place).
2) Can you please check if the issue persists when switching to a default WP theme and disabling all non related plugins to WPML?
I did some more testing and when disabling the ACF plugin it works correctly (as you can see), I would suggest you update the plugin to the latest version and check if the issue persists.
* I disabled the ACF/ACFM plugin (as seen in the attached image) so you can check that it is working and that the issue much probably is related to the ACF plugin.
Let me know how it goes,
Marsel
